Former World Champion ‘Mile High’ Mike Alvarado signs exclusive contract with Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) and is set to make debut at BKFC-41 event in Denver.

Hold on to your hats, fight fans, because Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) just signed former world champion ‘Mile High’ Mike Alvarado to an exclusive, multi-fight promotional contract. That’s right, the Denver, CO native is making his BKFC debut at the BKFC-41 pay-per-view event on Saturday, April 29 at the 1STBank Center in Broomfield, CO. So, buckle up for a wild, bare-knuckle ride!

Mike is stoked about the partnership, stating, “I’m honored to sign a promotional contract with BKFC. I’ve been a fan since they started five years ago and love what they are doing for combat sports. When I heard they were planning on returning to Denver, I knew I had to fight on this tremendous card.” He’s also been enjoying working with Dave Feldman and his team in preparation for fight night, adding, “I can’t wait until fight night and the opportunity to perform in front of my hometown, Denver fans.”

During his 15-year professional career, Alvarado amassed an impressive record of 40 wins (with 28 of those by knockout) and only five losses. A former HBO World Championship Boxing staple, he’s best known for his epic trilogy with Brandon Rios, with their first bout in 2012 earning the ‘Fight of the Year’ title from numerous sports media outlets. However, it’s been a hot minute since Alvarado has stepped into the ring – his last bout was in 2019 when he was stopped in three rounds by Arnold Barboza.

BKFC President David Feldman is equally excited to have Alvarado on board, stating, “Mike Alvarado is not only a former world champion but a true warrior who I watched fight in numerous, action-packed ‘fight of the year’ clashes. We’re thrilled to start working with him and have him fight on our massive card in his hometown.”

Feldman also points out the potential success for professional boxers transitioning into bare-knuckle fighting, mentioning Austin Trout’s performance at KnuckleMania3 as a prime example. He’s looking forward to seeing what Alvarado can bring to the table come April 29.

So, prepare for an adrenaline-packed night of bare-knuckle brawling, and be sure to catch ‘Mile High’ Mike Alvarado as he brings the heat to the BKFC-41 event in his hometown!
