University of Oklahoma “Active Shooter” Alert Proven to be False Alarm

If you thought you heard a gunshot on the University of Oklahoma’s campus recently, fear not – it turns out it was just “a bogus call,” according to university police. After an intense search, they confirmed there was no threat to the school.

Anxiety peaked when the university tweeted that there was an active shooter and urged everyone to “take immediate action now. Run. Hide. Fight!” That tweet was followed by another one, indicating campus police were investigating “possible shots fired” on school grounds.

However, much to everyone’s relief, just before 11:00 p.m., the university informed everyone that after a thorough search, no threat was found, and the alert had been canceled.

So, let’s all breathe a sigh of relief and get back to the usual college shenanigans, because everything’s A-OK at the University of Oklahoma. The only shots being fired here are at the local bar’s happy hour. Cheers to that!
