Dodgers’ Shortstop Miguel Rojas Set to Make Highly Anticipated Return to Lineup

Break out the confetti and grab your party hats, Dodgers fans! Miguel Rojas, our beloved shortstop, is making his much-anticipated return to the lineup this Sunday for the series finale! After missing this past week with a pesky groin injury, the Dodgers’ faithful have been eager for Rojas’ return. Now that it’s happening, we can all breathe a sigh of relief.

Of course, manager Dave Roberts isn’t going to throw Rojas back into the action without a safety net. Our superstar will be given a well-deserved day off on Monday to make sure his body is fully recovered, before jumping back into the starting lineup on Tuesday.

We’ve got to give credit where credit is due. Chris Taylor has been an absolute champ filling in for Rojas at shortstop this week. The dude’s versatility is awe-inspiring, considering he hardly played shortstop last year due to his own arm troubles. But let’s not get it twisted – Roberts still plans to give Rojas the “majority” of playing time at shortstop once he’s 100% ready to rock.

When Rojas takes his days off, Taylor will return to his role as the team’s super-utility player. He’ll continue to rotate between the outfield, third base, and shortstop, keeping the opposition on their toes with his talent.

Unfortunately, it wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows for the Dodgers. During Friday night’s game against the Arizona Diamondbacks, a bitter trend continued for our ace, Clayton Kershaw. With his 400th career start for the Dodgers – a truly monumental accomplishment – Kershaw struggled in the desert heat, as has been the case in most of his trips to Chase Field. Despite giving up four runs and seven hits in six innings, we’re confident that Kershaw will bounce back like the legendary left-hander we know he is.

For now, let’s focus on the positives – namely, the triumphant return of Miguel Rojas! We’ll be on the edge of our seats come Sunday, ready to cheer our team on to victory with Rojas back where he belongs.
