Get ready, Buckeye Nation! Your Ohio State football squad has scored a major commitment in the form of Top247 quarterback Air Noland. The Fairburn, Georgia native announced his decision on a live broadcast on the 247Sports YouTube Channel, choosing the Buckeyes over an impressive lineup of schools including Alabama, Arkansas, Clemson, Miami, Oregon, and Texas A&M.
Standing tall at 6-foot-3 and 195 pounds, Noland is ranked the nation’s No. 7 quarterback and No. 55 prospect overall. As the ninth commitment for head coach Ryan Day’s 2024 class, he’ll be joining a Buckeyes roster that’s already shaping up to be one of the strongest in the country.
Noland had nothing but high praise for the Ohio State coaching staff, particularly Coach Day, Coach Dennis, and Coach Hartline – whom he affectionately referred to as the “three-headed snake.” And he didn’t stop there. The entire Buckeyes organization, from the recruiting and strength and conditioning staff to his former high school teammate, Ohio State freshman tight end Jelani Thurman, made Noland feel right at home.
The success of former Ohio State quarterbacks like the late Dwayne Haskins, Justin Fields, and C.J. Stroud certainly caught Noland’s attention, and he’s eager to follow in their footsteps as a future NFL-caliber quarterback. With his commitment 110 percent solid, Noland has big goals in mind – including winning a conference championship, National Championship, and even the Heisman Trophy someday.
