Gabriella Diaz Pitches Perfect Game to Lead Bayonne Softball Team to Victory

Holy guacamole, folks! You won’t believe the awesomeness that happened on the softball field in Bayonne. Gabriella Diaz, a.k.a. the queen of the diamond, pitched a jaw-dropping perfect game to lead her team to a 2-0 victory over Roselle Park. Now that’s some serious skill, right there!

Just to give you an idea of her mind-blowing performance, Diaz struck out a whopping 17 batters in just seven innings. Talk about bringing the heat! And if that’s not impressive enough for you, in her three starts and 19 innings pitched so far this season, she has only given up six hits, two runs, and has a staggering 32 strikeouts. With an ERA of 0.37, we’re pretty sure Diaz has earned herself a spot on every team’s “watch out” list.

Of course, you can’t win a game on strikeouts alone. Bayonne (3-0) scored both of its runs in the third inning, thanks in part to a clutch hit by Nayah Diaz. She drove in one of the two runs, giving the Bees a little breathing room on their way to the win.

Sadly for Roselle Park, their record dropped to 1-3 after the loss, but hey, sometimes you just come up against a pitching juggernaut like Gabriella Diaz, and there’s not much you can do.
