Lucasfilm Releases First Teaser for Ahsoka Series on Disney+: Featuring Rosario Dawson, Ray Stevenson, and Grand Admiral Thrawn!

Oh, the Force is strong with this one! The first day of Star Wars Celebration London may be wrapping up, but Lucasfilm has just released the first teaser for the upcoming Ahsoka series on Disney+, and we’re absolutely geeking out over here. While some trailers were exclusive to Celebration attendees, this one has been unleashed onto the internet, so we can all revel in its glory!

The teaser kicks off with a reintroduction of Rosario Dawson’s Ahsoka Tano, the beloved force-wielder who first made her live-action debut in The Mandalorian. We see her reunited with Star Wars Rebels characters Hera Syndulla (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), Sabine Wren (Natasha Liu Bordizzo), and Chopper the droid. But that’s not all, folks! We also catch a glimpse of the menacing Grand Admiral Thrawn, the blue-skinned villain from Rebels who is apparently going to give our heroes a run for their galactic credits.

And as if that wasn’t enough to make us giddy with anticipation, Ray Stevenson can be seen wielding a red lightsaber and force-choking someone, in true Sith fashion. We don’t yet know who this mystery man is, but color us intrigued! Unfortunately, Ezra Bridger (played by Eman Esfandi) doesn’t appear in this trailer, but we know he’ll be joining the ranks in the series.

Speaking to fans at the event, Rosario Dawson shared her excitement: “I’ve had so many pinch-me moments, even on the last day of shooting when we turn the lightsabers on, and I’m in the world of Star Wars.” She went on to tease that if the show does well, a second season could be on the horizon.

In addition to the trailer, a poster was unveiled, giving us another look at the upcoming series. Ahsoka is set to premiere on Disney+ this August, so get ready to embark on an all-new adventure in a galaxy far, far away. May the Force be with us all!
