Harry Maguire Makes Surprise Return to Manchester United Starting XI Against Everton Due to Hectic Schedule

Harry Maguire, Manchester United’s captain, is making a surprise return to the starting XI in their Premier League match against Everton. Manager Erik ten Hag seems pretty chill about the decision, even though Maguire hasn’t been his go-to guy since taking over from Ajax this summer. In fact, Maguire will only be making his fourth Premier League start since a devastating loss to Brentford back in August.

So why has Ten Hag decided to dust off Maguire and put him back in action? Well, it turns out United’s schedule is “not right,” as they have to play three games in just six days. Talk about a football frenzy!

But fear not, Man Utd fans! Ten Hag is confident that Maguire can handle the heat. The manager has seen good things from him on the training ground and in matches. Maguire even played against Fulham, Betis, and, yep, England too! He’s totally “fit and ready to play.”

If Maguire wants to stay on Ten Hag’s good side and keep getting more game time, he’s got a clear task ahead of him: “He has to dominate his opponent in and out of possession because that is his status and that is his reputation.” No pressure, Harry!

At Old Trafford, Maguire will be facing former United trialist Ellis Simms, who’s getting a start with Everton due to Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s absence. Despite not being a regular this season, Maguire has still made 24 appearances for Manchester United – half of them as a substitute.

Can Maguire prove he’s still got the magic touch on the field and become a regular fixture once more in the Red Devils lineup? Only time will tell!
