Masters Tournament Upset: Golf Legends on the Brink of Missing the Cut

Well, well, well, folks! This year’s Masters Tournament has certainly given us some curveballs as some of golf’s biggest names are on the brink of not making the cut this weekend. Are you ready to put your “woe-is-me” face on as we dive into the juicy details?

As round two wrapped up under drizzly rain, our beloved Rory McIlroy (+5) seemed to have lost his lucky charms with an unfortunate round, joining Sergio Garcia (+7) and Bubba Watson (+9) on the not-so-glorious list of those potentially not playing in Round 3. Yikes! The projected cut line stands at 2-over par, leaving these lads on edge as they potentially bow out of the Augusta National Golf Club festivities.

And in true dramatic fashion, Justin Thomas at 2-over par teased us by flirting dangerously close to that dreaded cut line. Even the legend Tiger Woods (+3) didn’t have his fiercest performance this time, finishing his second round with a 1-over 73 after a 2-over 74 in Round 1. But hey, who can really blame these pros for not acing the greens with that pesky rain getting in the way?

With more exciting (and hopefully sunny) rounds to come, it’s truly a nail-biting situation as we watch and see who makes the cut at this year’s Masters. While we bid farewell to some golfing legends this weekend, we’re ready to welcome some unexpected surprises in their place! Buckle up, sports fans – it’s bound to be a wild ride!
