Legendary Comic Writer Trina Robbins Releases Anthology on Pregnancy, Abortion, and Dobbs Decision to Benefit Planned Parenthood – Featuring Incredible Artists!

Hold on to your hats, folks, because legendary comix writer, artist, and historian Trina Robbins is bringing you an anthology of comics like no other! The collection, called Won’t Back Down!, is all about pregnancy, abortion, and the impact of the Supreme Court’s Dobbs decision. What’s even more awesome is that profits from sales of the book will be donated to Planned Parenthood.

The book is complete and set to be delivered in Fall 2023, but first, it needs to be printed. That’s where you come in. The anthology is currently being crowdfunded on Zoop, with a campaign lasting until April 24, 2023. Not only can you support the printing of this fantastic collection, but you can also score a retailer tier for yourself.

If you’re not already hyped enough, wait until you hear the list of contributors! In addition to Robbins herself, the anthology features the work of some amazing artists like Lee Marrs, Alison Sampson, Steve Leialoha, Ken Steacy, Barbara Randall Kesel, and the list goes on.

Robbins, a veritable icon in the comix world, was inducted into the Eisner Awards Hall of Fame in 2013 and won a 2021 Eisner Award for The Flapper Queens: Women Cartoonists of the Jazz Age. With such an incredible editor at the helm, Won’t Back Down! is sure to be an unforgettable anthology that’ll leave you equal parts empowered and entertained.

Speaking of empowerment, Trina is proving herself as the “baddest b*tch” with her recent NPR Tiny Desk Concert. In her gorgeous performance, she dedicates songs to her mom, her fellow single ladies, and even introduces us to “Da Baddest B*tch.” Trust us, you don’t want to miss it!

So go ahead, hop on that crowdfunding campaign, and help bring this amazing anthology to life while supporting Planned Parenthood. Trust us, your bookshelf will thank you.
